Obituary
David Paul McArthur, age 52, and a resident of Meridian, MS died Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Oschner Rush Hospital in Meridian.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30pm Friday, April 21, 2023, at the Hillsboro Baptist Cemetery under the direction of OTT & LEE Funeral Home in Forest.
David is saved by Jesus Christ as his savior. He took Carpentry in High School. He loved working with wood, refinishing wood furniture, and selling his handiwork. He drove a truck for Swift Trucking Company for several years, which he enjoyed very much. David also loved the outdoors, fishing, and camping, Being an outdoorsman, he especially enjoyed yard work on his days home from driving. He also loved animals. David was loved by his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
David is survived by his son, Dalton McArthur (Cierra), two grand-daughters Addyson M. and Amelia M., his mother Rachel Smith of Richmond, TX, and his dad, Daniel McArthur of Hattiesburg, MS, sister, Naomi McMillian (Tony) of Richmond, TX, Aunt Ginger and Uncle Bill Fox. He is also survived by cousins, Blake Trammell (Aubrey), Shea Marcum, Billy Hutto, Angel and Lamar Cummins, 2 nieces Deanna Homeyer (Nathan) and Amber Hendyshot (Joel). He also leaves behind some special friends; Tommy, Cathy, and Todd Faust.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Raymond and Betty Davis, and Aunts Shelia Walker, Maggie Glascok, Uncle Bob McArthur, and cousin Billy Ray Gatlin.
