David McCarty Obituary
Wayne was born on October 20, 1952, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby John McCarty and Inez Fowler Gray. Wayne was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam War, and retired as a truck driver. He loved to collect foreign currency, play poker, loved drag racing and farming.
Survivors include his children and their spouses, Shayne McCarty, Tim and Mindy McCarty, Ryan McCarty, Paige and Cory Lewis, and Dustin and Jessica McCarty; grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor, Taylor, Zowie, Gavin, Emma, Kaytlyn, Kane, JoJo, Chip, Corver, Crue, Paicyn, Crash, Maddie, and Easton; great-grandchildren, Willow and River; sisters and brother, Nan Kight, Bobby McCarty (Letty), and Lynda Powers; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at 2:00 pm at the Lyons City Cemetery, in Lyons, Georgia.
