David "Reggie" McClelland, 63, of Emmett, passed away on March 12, 2025, at Select Specialty Hospital, Mount Clemens.
David was born on January 3, 1962 in Yale, Michigan, to Roger and Rose (Brennan) McClelland.
David was the oldest of the eleven McClelland siblings, growing up in Emmett, Michigan. David graduated from Yale High School in 1981 and worked as a laborer for his entire adult Life, most recently for Romeo Rim for the past 12 years. David was active with the Boy Scouts and taught countless boys how to safely shoot BB guns at Silver Trails Scout Reservation for many years. David enjoyed the outdoors and country living and was always willing to Lend a helping hand to a friend, share a story, or give you a tomato from his abundant garden.
David is survived by his partner of many years, Bobbie Rogers, and her children Shadi (Kajuan) Rogers and Luke (Avelina) Rogers. David was a devoted grandpa to Luke's four children, Zayne, Lorenzo, Thatcher, and Louella. Left to mourn the loss of their brother are sisters, Margaret (Bob) Austin, Rose (Eric) Orr, Lorraine (Bryan) Parker; brothers, Paul (Carol) Pat, Ron (Wendy), Bill, Gerald (Jennifer), Larry (Jennifer), and Roger (Wendi), 34 nieces and nephews and 9 great-nieces and nephews. David is also survived by several aunts and uncles, a multitude of cousins, and many lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by a nephew, Paul McClelland.
The family honors the memory of David and invites you to visit and share memories Monday, March 17, 2025, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Capac. Rite of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Emmett, with 9:30 a.m. visiting. Fr. Tom Kuehnemund, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel –Kenockee Township Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to "Wishes of the Family".
