David George McNeely David George McNeely, of Savannah, Georgia passed away peacefully after an extended illness on Thursday, January 31, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He grew up in Savannah and graduated from Savannah High School in 1964 and from GA Tech in 1970 with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He then served in the United States Army from 1970 to 1971 and received his MBA from Georgia State. David was a member of Savannah Christian Church. For the majority of David's professional career he was employed as a safety engineer and a corporate risk manager, and most recently was a small business owner. He was also an avid cyclist for 40 years. David was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Gerrie Tomlinson McNeely, daughters, Amy McNeely Lane (Jay), Mollie Anderson Pleicones (Jim), granddaughters, Neely, Cadence, and Madelyn Lane, sister, Linda McNeely Guadagno (Tony), and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Otis A. McNeely, and mother, Hazel Dunn McNeely. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 4, 2013 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel with the Reverend Dr. David Laughner officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Remembrances may be made to GIST Cancer Research Fund, 55 Saw Hill Road, New City, NY 10956. Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel
