David A. Metott
August 17, 1930 – August 4, 2025
CAMDEN, NY – David A. Metott, 94, of Camden, NY; passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025, at Besty Ross Rehabilitation and Nursing in Rome, NY. He was born on August 17, 1930, in Camden, NY to the late Fred and Mabel Kinney Metott.
David attended the one room schoolhouse in Westdale, before attending Camden Central Schools. He spent time working as both a Farmer and a Logger.
David was a man of faith, attending many churches, most recently the Jewell Chapel in Jewell, NY.
He was pre-deceased by his parents, Fred and Mabel; his wife, Margaret Pool Metott; brothers, Albert Metott and William Metott and sisters, Mabel Metott, Isabel Owens and Beverly Davis Burke.
David is survived by five children, David F. (Sally) Metott, of Camden, NY, Michael H. (April) Metott, of Rison, AR, Elaine M. (Jerry) Balcom, of Camden, NY, Timothy B. (Kelli) Metott, of Camden, NY and John A. Metott, of Camden, NY; along with 18 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren and his sister, Eleanor Coggins.
Graveside Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at 1006 Metott Rd. Camden, NY, with a celebration of life to immediately follow. Arrangements are in care of LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Camden, NY.
