Born in Erie on October 6, 1941, he was the son of the late John and Theresa (Donovan) Mifkovic.
David married the former Laurel Legler in 1966. She preceded him in death in 2007. He was a Boiler Engineer for the Erie School District, retiring in 2003. After retirement, he worked in Maintenance at the Erie Playhouse. David was a life member of the Siebenbuerger Club, he enjoyed camping and bowling, and he loved his chocolate malted milkshakes, and his canine companion, Penny. David loved helping his neighbors, and was always ready to lend a helping hand.
He is survived by his daughter, Amy Fluegel (Timothy); his sons, David A. Mifkovic, Jr. and Daniel J. Mifkovic; his brother, Victor Kelley, his grandchildren, Adam Hagmaier, Sr., Andrew Hagmaier, Alora Hagmaier, Caylee Fluegel, Kiersten Sheehan, Darek Mifkovic, and Haley Mifkovic, and 4 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and his wife, David was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Mifkovic.
The family would like to take this opportunity to thank VNA Hospice for their compassionate care during this time.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
