David Anthony Mifkovic, Sr., age 83, of Erie, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025.
Born in Erie on October 6, 1941, he was the son of the late John and Theresa (Donovan) Mifkovic.
David married the former Laurel Legler in 1966. She preceded him in death in 2007. He was a Boiler Engineer for the Erie School District, retiring in 2003. After retirement, he worked in Maintenance at the Erie Playhouse. David was a life member of the Siebenbuerger Club, he enjoyed camping and bowling, and he loved his chocolate malted milkshakes, and his canine companion, Penny. David loved helping his neighbors, and was always ready to lend a helping hand.
He is survived by his daughter, Amy Fluegel (Timothy); his sons, David A. Mifkovic, Jr. and Daniel J. Mifkovic; his brother, Victor Kelley, his grandchildren, Adam Hagmaier, Sr., Andrew Hagmaier, Alora Hagmaier, Caylee Fluegel, Kiersten Sheehan, Darek Mifkovic, and Haley Mifkovic, and 4 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and his wife, David was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Mifkovic.
The family would like to take this opportunity to thank VNA Hospice for their compassionate care during this time.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

I'm sorry to hear of Dave's passing. His son David and I went to grade school together. Our families became good friends. Dave was a jack of all trades as he was often at our house helping dad fix something. He had a great sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. God bless you and your family.

I will never forget my uncle Dave he was by far the BEST uncle!!I remember as a little kid going over to aunt Lolly´s and uncle Dave´s for Christmas and... had such a WONDERFUL holiday with my cousins. Great food and ALOT of family love and good times. How I wish we could " all" go back" you will FOREVER be missed & loved dearly uncle Dave. R.i.p. fly high

To Dave's family, I offer sincere condolences and prayers. I worked with Dave at the District (Emerson-Gridley) and couldn't have asked for a better co-worker. He was always friendly and willing to help out. He was just nice to be around,;always smiling . and stopping to chat. I am very sorry for your loss.
