David Wesley Millstead

David Millstead, of Springfield, passed away on May 5, 2024, at the age of 79 in his home in Marshfield, MO. Dave was born on January 30,1945, to Melvin and Marcelle Millstead in Springfield, MO. He was raised in Springfield and graduated from Central High School in 1963. Dave was united in marriage to Kathryn Thomas on July 10,1965, in Springfield, MO. Dave and Kathy shared 58 years of marriage and were blessed with two children: Shani and Amanda.
Dave was employed with Consumers Markets for 42 years. He had many interests including hunting and fishing with friends, camping, dirt biking, and lake trips with family. Dave will be remembered as a loving husband and father.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Marcelle and his sister, Suzy Trotter. Dave is survived by his wife, Kathy and daughters, Shani Harkin and her husband Jeff of Lawrence, KS and Amanda Steimel and her husband Rick of Marshfield, MO.
No services are planned at this time.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Dave's memory to the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri or the American Diabetes Association of Missouri.
Arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield, Missouri.
