David Leslie Milner, age 78, of Lowell Arkansas, passed peacefully on March 14, 2024, under the care of Circle of Life Hospice.
David, the only child of James Leslie and Florence Elizabeth Mayo Milner, was born in East Point Georgia on December 28, 1946. David and his parents resided near Atlanta Georgia until he graduated in 1965 from Avondale High School, Dekalb County GA.
David moved to Siloam Springs Arkansas where he attended John Brown University. He met and married the love of his life Diana Patterson Milner, at the John Brown University in 1968.
David earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from John Brown University in 1971, a Masters of Divinity from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City Missouri in 1978, and a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Music from the University of Southern Colorado in 1999.
David at his heart was always a musician and teacher. In his early career, he served as a high school English teacher in Missouri. Beginning in 1980, David and Diana worked for Church World Relief serving Cuban, Laotian and Cambodian refugees. In 1983 they moved to Buffalo, NY as Southern Baptist Church Planters and in 1988 became fully appointed Home Missionaries serving in Pueblo, CO. In retirement, David served as a music teacher and music minister in Pueblo, CO.
David was preceded in death by his wife Diana and parents, James and Elizabeth. He is survived by his two children, James (Angie) Milner and Patricia Milner and his grandchildren Kayla, Noah, and Nathan Milner of Lowell, AR.
The celebration of David's life will be held on April 2nd at First Baptist Rogers at the Pleasant Grove Campus. The family will be available for visitation at 10:30 AM. Services for David will begin at 11:00 AM, officiated by Pastor Wes George. Inurnment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Gentry, AR at 2:30 PM.

David was more than a Pastor, He was a good friend. He will always be remembered for his love of family and music and most of all his love for God. We love and miss you greatly. Jim and Chris Spangler
