David C. Morris

David C. Morris passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, September 4th, 2024, after a brief battle with Stage 4 lung cancer. Dave was the youngest of six children, born on August 20th, 1963, to Richard J. Morris and Frances R. Dean of Saratoga Springs, NY.
Dave enlisted in the United States Army in 1981 and proudly served his country for four years, after which he spent the majority of his career as a long haul truck driver. Throughout his years, Dave gave his family and friends many memories of listening to classic rock, drinking coffee, summer days, and holidays filled with surprises, laughter, and smiles we will never forget.
He is predeceased by his parents, as well as his brothers John P. Morris, Joseph F. Morris, and his sister Penny L. Bessette. Dave leaves behind his son, Patrick C. Morris, daughter Marissa Brownell, stepdaughter Tiffany (Randy) Sliger, granddaughter Aaliyah Brownell, his oldest brother Richard W. (Cheryl) Morris, his oldest sister Ocala "Kelly" S. Kane, as well as many nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family, near and far, who will miss him dearly.
Military honors will be held on Friday, September 13th, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Gerald B.H. Solomon National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville. After services, we encourage family and friends to get comfortable and join us at The Spa State Park to share memories of Dave and create new ones together.
Memorial contributions in memory of David may be made to the Samuel S. Stratton VA Medical Center, where Dave was receiving treatment.
