David D. Nesselhauf, age 72, of Harborcreek, passed away at his home on Thursday, August 25, 2022 following a year-long battle with cancer. He was born in Erie on September 14, 1949, son of the late Jack Nesselhauf and Margaret Nesselhauf Mello.

Dave worked many years and retired from General Electric where his co-workers knew him as "Hawk." He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his Harley and spending time at the family camp. Dave loved to have a good time and made sure his friends enjoyed themselves too. Every year he grew an amazing vegetable garden, supplying family, friends and neighbors with his bountiful harvest.

Dave is survived by his wife, Loretta Nesselhauf; one son, David Nesselhauf; three daughters, Wendy Smith (Paul), Candy Nesselhauf (Jeff) and Heather Peterman (Chris); two brothers, Doug (Andi) and Jeff Nesselhauf; and two sisters, Sharon Passamonte (Fred), and Joyce Nesselhauf. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. He had a very special relationship with his granddaughter, Emma.

Friends will be received at St. Mark the Evangelist R.C. Church, 695 Smithson Avenue, on Friday from 10 am until the time of the Memorial Mass at 11 am. Private entombment will be held at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Road. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
