David Noah Obituary

Published by Legacy on Mar. 5, 2023.
David Lane Noah, 67, entered into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, March 4, surrounded by his wife and children. David was born November 3, 1955 in Gadsden, Alabama. He was a 1974 graduate of Gadsden High School and earned an Associate's degree from Gadsden State.
Affectionately known as "Big Dave" to all his friends and co-workers, David retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company after a 42 year career. He was working in the Information Technology Services department at Gadsden State Community College at the time of his death.
David was married to the love of his life, Tricia, for 34 years. Their favorite things to do together were attending Alabama sporting events, hiking, riding bicycles and going to the beach.
David was known for his larger than life personality, infamous storytelling and being an avid Alabama fan. The only thing he loved more than his wife was being a Dad to his 4 children and Papa to his 9 grandchildren. David was the most selfless person and never put himself first. He was humble, patient, caring, giving, loving, encouraging, and so very kind. He will be terribly missed, but his legacy on this earth will forever live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Horace Ray Noah and Janet Lorren Noah, his brother, Chris Noah and two of his grandchildren, Kendall Christine Noah and Maximilian Baohu Shen DeLauney. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Turner Noah, his children, Kristi (Eric) Justice, Jared (Erin) Noah, Kimberly Cash, and Kristen (Bryan) DeLauney; his grandchildren, Joran, Baylie, Kloe, Sophie, Avery, Lillie, Colton, Jackson and Lela; his sister Donna Noah Fowler; many loved nieces and nephews and his best furry friend, Sam.
A very special thanks to nurse practitioner, Kyle Voss, nurses Amy and Paige, and the entire staff at Gadsden Regional Medical Center MICU for your tender care of David and his family during his final days.
A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, March 7th at Collier-Butler Funeral Home from 11:00 am - 2:00pm. A private graveside service will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Dr. Ryan Morris will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Jared Noah, Bryan DeLauney, Eric Justice, Isaac Colvard, Jared Atwell, Brandon Wheeler, Cliff Davenport and Clint Burcheat Honorary pallbearers are Colton Cash, Jackson Cash, Harold Hutchins, John Turner, Kevin Colvard, Justin Spears and Chad Cofield.
The family will accept flowers or memorial donations may be made to Children's of Alabama Cardiovascular ICU, 1600 7th Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35233, www.childrensal.org

I was saddened to learn about the passing of David. Our families were next door neighbors on Russell Street.. David was closer in age to my younger brothers.

Eventually our lives moved in different directions and we had careers and raised families in different states. I am very saddened by his passing and my deepest sympathies are extended to his wife, children and other family members. Ron Laughlin.

I an sorry to hear of David's home going but he's better off than the ones he leaves behind. His trials are past. We'll be praying!
