DAVID PEÑA
November 23, 1960- July 28, 2022
David Peña, 61, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Thursday, July 28, 2022.
David was born in Laredo and attended Nixon High School ('79). He graduated from St. Mary's University in 1982 and graduated from South Texas College of Law in 1988 having earned a Juris Doctor. David was an active sportsman who played high school football, and who enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycles, and marksmanship.
He was preceded in passing by his brother, Oscar J. Peña, Jr. and his mother, Marta Cuevas Peña.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, David Peter Peña (Gomez); his father, Oscar J. Peña, Sr.; his sister, Marta P. Montemayor; his brother-in-law, Jose Montemayor III; and his nephews, Oscar O. Peña (Doreen Puig), Karl W. Peña, Jose Montemayor IV (Patricia Peña Montemayor), and Oscar G. Montemayor. He is further survived by his grandnephews, Nicolas Oscar, Ever Baldomero, Christo Joaquin, and David Sacha; and his grandniece, Melinda Montemayor.
The family will be receiving condolences on Thursday evening, August 04, 2022 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Prayer Service will commence at 7:30 p.m.
Private Cremation Services will be held at a later date.
