David Pendall Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Davis-Turner Funeral Home on Feb. 17, 2023.
David Eugene Pendall – Born November 11, 1938 in Highland County Ohio and died February 15, 2023 in Circleville, Ohio. In his 84 years with us, he was a son of Roy and Amy Pendall of Lynchburg, Ohio, a brother of Carol (Pendall) Campbell, a member of the Lynchburg United Methodist Church, an athlete of basketball and baseball (including Lynchburg Varsity High School teams and the Cincinnati Reds professional baseball farm team), a Ohio State University student, a US Army Soldier, a Cattleman working across the United States for major farms, a local grocer butcher, a Ohio Department of Agriculture Meat Inspector, a farm owner with livestock, a manager of the Lynchburg Gun Club, a key member of the Lynchburg International Lions Club, a key consultant and groomer within the club calf and cattle show circuit, a husband of Lorraine M. (Kihlmire) Pendall, and father of David Wayne and Christy Lynn (Pendall) Sowders. He was a grandfather to five young men and women- Caitlin, Andrew, Matthew, Justin and Emma. This review is a reminder to all on what we do in the space between-the dash (-) between a birthdate and the date of death is what we do with our lives and what time we have to build relationships with others. David (Dave) cared about people, was always ready to share stories, spent his life enjoying his interactions with local farmers and families and felt most at home on the farm and at cattle shows with fellow story tellers and cattlemen. He enjoyed books on the Wild West, Cowboy lore and bluegrass music. Dave's family will hold a remembrance and celebration ceremony at the Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery at 10 AM on 15 May 2023. The Highland County Veteran's Honor Guard will present military honors.

We are all deeply saddened to hear of Dave's passing. We all have fond memories of his time spent as an integral part of our farm, and as a friend. Always a laugh.
