David Lee Perry, Sr., 70 of East Hartford, CT (formally of Kileen, Tx) entered into eternal rest on Monday December 25, 2023, peacefully at his home.
David was born to the late George Timmons and Elizabeth Knighton Perry on October 8, 1953, in Hartford, CT.
David grew up in Hartford, CT. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend.
David Lee Perry, Sr. attended Weaver High School, and later joined the U.S. Navy in 1975. While in the Navy he proudly received his GED.
David married his wife Herodias Michele Perry in 1983.
To cherish his memory, David leaves behind his wife Herodias Michele Perry. His children, Chaneta Williams, David Lee Perry Jr. (Jutasha), Tychell Perry, Shawn Perry, and Christian Perry (April). His sisters, Equilla Mae Perry Gibbs (William "Bill") and Cheryl Timmons-Opesso, 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, his nephews and nieces as well as a host of cousins and other relatives and friends as well.
David, Sr. loved The Temptations, you couldn't tell him nothing when it came to them. He loved watching sports, especially the New England Patriots and the 76ers. His favorite colors were blue and brown.
David enjoyed spending his time with his loved ones.
David was predeceased by his mother Elizabeth Knighton Perry, his father George Timmons, Sr., his grandparents Major Knighton, and Equilla Knighton. His brothers George Wesley Timmons, Wade Timmons, Richard Timmons, and George Timmons, Jr.
