Edward Foster, a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2024, in Hartford, CT, at the age of 84. Born on August 14, 1940, in Sylacauga, AL raised in Talledega, AL.
The son of the late Griffin McKenzie and the late Christine Foster. Edward was a devoted husband to his late wife, Rosemary Adgers-Foster and together they raised a beautiful family, including their daughters, Katrina (Douglas) Terry, Rosalyn (Tim) Forant, Brenda Boggus, and Evelyn Boggus. Edward was a proud grandfather to 19 children and great-grandfather to 15 children and he adored them with all of his heart.
Edward honorably served his country in the Army. After his service, he embarked on a career as a machinist at Pratt & Whitney, where his skill and dedication were evident to all who worked alongside him.
Beyond his professional life, Edward was a man of many interests. He had a passion for music, playing bingo, puzzles, video games, and even fixing cars. Edward also loved traveling by any means. He loved taking his children to go watch the airplanes, drive-in movies, driving around, and catching train rides to different places just to go sightseeing and take in the beauty of the world. These were all the things which brought him joy. But His love for Christian music was profound. Edward's outgoing nature meant he was always ready to help others, and his generosity and support left a lasting impact on his family and community.
He has left us richer in love and memories, and for that, we are eternally grateful. Your story lives on in the hearts of those you leave behind.
