CANFIELD - David A. Pritchard, 71, passed away May 03, 2025, after a yearlong battle with gastric cancer.
David was born July 17, 1953, in Youngstown, Ohio, son of David A. Pritchard, Sr., and Barbara Hengen Pritchard.
He graduated from Boardman High School in 1971 and went on to receive a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering in 1976 from General Motors Institute in Flint, Michigan. He was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity.
David worked at Packard Electric/Delphi in Warren, Ohio, retiring in 2007 after 36 years. During his career he held numerous managerial positions in both engineering and manufacturing.

David was a "car guy." He loved owning them, reading about them, and working on them. His first big purchase was a 1975 Corvette, which he enjoyed for 42 years. Corvettes were his passion, and in 2017 after purchasing a new Corvette, he went to Ron Fellows Performance Driving School in Nevada to enjoy the thrill of high-performance driving.
In addition, he enjoyed gunsmithing and target shooting. He was thoroughly versed in the mechanics of how guns worked and enjoyed perfecting his target skills. He spent many weekends traveling around Ohio attending gun shows.
David was a member of Tippecanoe Country Club where he enjoyed his "Friday night dinners." He was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, attending games for over 40 years. Throughout his life he spent many weekends boating with his family at his parents' home on Lake Erie. In retirement, he enjoyed spending the winter months at his condo in Florida.
Dave will be missed by his wife of 44 years, Tracey (Becker) and his daughters, Abby (Nick) Frankle of Zionsville, Indiana, and Liz (Brian) Baranek of North Ridgeville, Ohio, and his granddaughters Riley and Reagan Frankle.
David was preceded in death by his parents.
