David A. Qualkinbush, age 75, of North Ridgeville, passed away unexpectedly Monday, August 22, 2022 at his home. He was born in Muncie, IN and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1982 formerly of Ft. Wayne, IN. He was a member of the US Army National Guard Airborne Rangers and a sales manager for RJ Reynolds Tobacco Co., retiring in 2004. David taught Kajukenpo Marshal Arts at The YMCA and Westlake Rec. Center. He was a 3rd degree black belt. He enjoyed playing drums in a rock band for many years and was a car enthusiast. He is survived by his wife Sarah; son Jason Adam (Lea) Qualkinbush of Munroe Falls; identical twin daughters Jamie Lee (Matt) Maassen of Elyria and Jodie Ann (Lyle) Gregg of North Ridgeville; grandchildren Ken, Andrew, Ashlie, and Dakota; identical twin brother Stephen Ray (Jeannie) Qualkinbush of Wintson-Salem, NC.; stepsister Phyllis Garrison of Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Qualkinbush and Betty Arnold; stepmother Myrna Qualkinbush; stepbrother Tom Baker; granddaughter Riley Maassen. Family will receive friends Friday from 4 pm until the time of service at 6 pm at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Deacon Larry Gregg will officiate. Burial Monday at 11am at Fields Cemetery North Ridgeville. Memorial contributions may be made to Friendship APL www.friendshipapl.org.
