Obituary of David Quinones

David Quinones, 66, of Laurence Harbor passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at home surrounded by his family. David was born and raised in Manhattan. He lived in South Amboy and moved to Laurence Harbor in 2008. David retired as a private detective for South Brunswick Security for ten years, retiring in 2007. Prior to that, he worked security at a Nisson Motors parts facility in Piscataway. Keeping people and things safe and protected was in his blood. David even started a neighborhood watch as a way to give back to his community.

David was a fan of oldies music and movies, especially cowboy and westerns. He was a fan of Universal Monsters and all things Halloween. Black was not his favorite color but his lifestyle.

He was predeceased by his wife, Joni in 2021. David is survived by his daughter, April Pastirik and her husband, Jeremy; a grandson, Jeremy Pastirik and his wife, Erica; three sisters, Iris and her husband, Stevie, Eva, and Faly and her husband, Felix; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, August 22, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM. His funeral service will follow at 7:30 PM with Pastor Daniel Dabrowski, officiating. Interment will be private.
