David F. Raynor "Bubby", 89 of Matawan passed away Monday January 27, 2025, at Bayshore Community Hospital of Holmdel.
He was born in Long Branch, New Jersey to the late Claude Raynor and Julia (Britton) Raynor.

Dave grew up in Keyport, NJ graduating from Keyport High School in 1953 and served in the U.S. Army from August of 1955 through August of 1958 and then the Army Reserves until 1961. He was a volunteer fireman for Lincoln Hose Fire Station in Keyport, NJ from 1958 until 1960. Dave was hired as a lineman for Jersey Central Power & Light on December 9th, 1958, working the Old Bridge Line until he retired on September 30th, 1996 after 38 years of service.
Dave met Margaret "Peggy" on Fireman's Beach in Sea Bright in 1958 and were married on September 17th, 1960. Dave was dedicated to his family and three sons, Kevin, Timmy and Chris. He coached their Little League Baseball and Pop Warner Football throughout their youth.
He was an avid fisherman and could be found at the Keyport waterfront (what he called the "Aeromarine") fishing for blue fish and striped bass, almost daily, until well into his 80's.
