David Keith Robinson passed away on December 27, 2023 at his home in Willis, Texas, which he shared with his wife Susan Robinson. Dave was born to Jerry and Dianna Robinson on May 29, 1961. In his last few weeks, he was surrounded by family and friends sharing old memories and making new ones. Dave ("The Bear") loved fishing, golf, and boating, and enjoyed good food and travel. He was always happiest near the water.
Dave was the first-born of his family and is survived by his three siblings, Ken, Kathi and Karyn. His pride and joy were his daughter Ashley Pohl, wife of Jared, and their daughters Kylie and Aleah. Grandpa Bear, a longtime horseman himself, loved watching the girls train, groom, and ride their own horses. Horsemanship is a passion Dave instilled in Ashley at an early age.
Susan's two children, Amanda and David, and their families, were also very dear to Dave. Amanda and Mark are raising three "Bear" fans extraordinaire: Addy, Jack, and River; David and Lauren are raising two: Mason and Jax. One of Grandpa Dave's greatest joys during his last few weeks was hosting all seven of his grandkids at the same time together at the Lake Conroe house.
Dave joined the United States Army after high school and earned his Computer Science degree there, launching his very successful career in computer technology. His humble start in the Army became the foundation for a life filled with achievement and service, during which he earned more computer technology certifications in his field than most of his peers. Dave was recognized to be at the top of his field as a cyber security expert.
Dave's greatest happiness in life came from enjoying it with the people he loved: his parents and siblings, his seven grandchildren, his dear wife's brothers and sisters, his many lifelong friends, and most of all, his loving wife Susan. Dave and Susan's time together has been cut short, but they lived every moment of their fourteen years together surrounded by loved ones and they rarely passed by an opportunity for adventure.
Please join us at our memorial celebrating Dave's life on January 5 at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home at 10129 FM 1097 in Willis, Texas. The reception will be from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m., with funeral service in the chapel to follow. Our memorial will conclude with the spreading of Dave's ashes on his beloved Lake Conroe. In the spirit of celebration, Dave requested that all attending wear festive Hawaiin shirts. Please join us in remembering our dear Dave.

I'm deeply saddened by this news. In the brief period I worked with Dave, I experienced his professionalism and kindness firsthand. These moments are challenging, and I sincerely hope you find the solace and resilience necessary during this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with Dave and his family.
