David Carl Rodgers

David Carl Rodgers, 76, passed away surrounded by his family on February 28, 2026, in Longmont, Colorado. He was born on June 24, 1949, to parents, Joseph Carl Rodgers and Ethel Faye Reynolds, in Tom Bean, Texas. David graduated from Tom Bean High School. He attended Grayson Community College and Southeastern Oklahoma State University, finishing with a bachelor's degree.

David honorably served in the United States Marine Corps for 8 years. He served in the Vietnam War.

In 1979, David started his job as an accountant for Conoco in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He retired in 2009.

David was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tom Bean, Texas.

David will be remembered by his son, Jeremy Rodgers of Niwot, Colorado; granddaughter, Delaney Rodgers of Niwot, Colorado; sisters, Jane Dodson of Denison, Texas, and Joyce Stephens and husband, Pat, of Tom Bean, Texas; brothers, Dan Rodgers and wife, Elaine, of Laramie, Wyoming, and Jimmy Rodgers and wife, Karla, of El Paso, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Irene Proffer, and son, Joshua Rodgers

A graveside service will be held at 11AM, Friday, March 13, 2026 at Vittitoe Cemetery, 672 Andy Thomas Road, Whitewright, Texas 75491.
