David Milo Rose, age 84, passed away Monday, October 23rd, 2023, at The Grove Care Center in Columbus, Ohio. David was the son of the late Paul Merrill Rose and Fern (Morgan) Rose.
David is survived by brother, Dana (Anna) Rose; nieces, Kate Rose, Rebecca Rose, Liza (Wasim) Sheikh, Lisa (Jim) Shields, and Beth (Aaron) Loney; and nephew, Morgan (Jane) Rose.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Charmaine (Rose) Hughes and brother, Daniel Paul Rose.
Shortly after high school in 1957 David moved to Columbus and after a couple of years landed a job at the Columbus Dispatch. He worked at The Dispatch for 36 years and won employee of the year in 1987 working in Advertising Services. David retired from The Dispatch in 2001.
During his working years, David took many courses at OSU and Franklin University. He loved the business courses, especially labor law.
After his retirement David spent many hours enjoying downtown Columbus and could be seen at many of the city festivals. He could also be seen at the Columbus library reading.
The last three years David was at the Grove Care Center and made many friends and became the trivia champion.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 27th, 2023, at 1PM at C.M. Cemetery in Oak Hill, Ohio. Online condolences may be sent to .
