David Allen Ruckel
Our dearly loved husband, father, and papa made his homecoming to our Lord on September 26th, 2024. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and motorcycle enthusiast. After graduating from Bible college, he became a children's pastor. During that time, he found his love for teaching and sharing God's word in extremely creative ways and organizing some epic kids camps. Later in life, he utilized his other God given talents of being a tradesman. He spent time as a biomedical engineer, a handyman, and a metal fabricator. He also lived his ultimate dream of owning and operating his own business as a craftsman. In every part of his life, he never failed to make connections and an impact in someone else's world.
He is survived by his wife, son and daughter in law, daughter and son in law, and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Antioch Bible Baptist Church in Gladstone, Mo on Tuesday October 1st, 2024 from 5-7pm with a tribute service at 7pm.
Please help celebrate the life of David by sharing a memory or expressing your condolences to the family.

I have known him all my life and every time I went to church I always had a smile on my face when I see David Ruckel.

Dave was an amazing man. He was direct, honest, bold, and sometimes right on the edge of outlandish. But he would often just smile instead of making a comment - and one could almost tell what he was thinking - and we always agreed. He helped us raise our 5 kids by sharing the gospel with them. That is the good part. The bad part - Dave was probably the worst babysitter in the world as he allowed our kids to eat junk food. It seemed watching them allowed Dave to act like a kid again - something he seemed to embrace.

One of our shared interests was riding Harley's. Ironically, we never rode together.

Dave and I had the opportunity to say goodbye in his final days. The last thing I said to him was to get things prepared for the rest of us when he meets his Savior. The average person would likely assume we were talking about some amazing theological event or something. But Dave and I knew we were talking about Dave finding the best places to ride when we all get to heaven.

Miss you already Brother..... (Scott)

What an amazing family - are The Ruckel's.
