DAVID SANCHEZ, 65, OF ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO WENT HOME TO HEAVEN ON JUNE 26, 2023 AFTER A BRIEF ILLNESS. HE WAS BORN DECEMBER 19, 1957 IN TUCUMCARI NEW MEXICO AND LATER MOVED TO ALBUQUERQUE WHERE HE RESIDED UNTIL HIS PASSING. HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS PARENTS FRED AND CLARA SANCHEZ. HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE, CONNIE OF ALBUQUERQUE, DAUGHTERS, BRANDY OF FLORIDA, AND FELISHA OF ALBUQUERQUE; HE IS ALSO SURVIVED BY HIS THREE GRANDCHILDREN JAEDYN BABER, ALIYAH BABER, AND EMMA GARCIA; SEVERAL NIECES, NEPHEWS, AND MANY FRIENDS.
DAVID WAS A GIFTED SKETCH ARTIST, HE LOVED FISHING, GOING TO MOVIES, AND SPENDING TIME WITH FAMILY. FOR MANY YEARS, HIS FAVORITE VACATION SPOT WAS PAGOSA SPRINGS, COLORADO WHERE HE FIRST TAUGHT HIS GRANDSON, JAEDYN, TO FISH. HE WAS A DEVOTED GRANDFATHER "PAPA D" AND LOVED ATTENDING ALL THEIR SPORTING EVENTS FOR MANY YEARS. DAVID WORKED IN THE ENGINEERING & SURVEY INDUSTRY FOR OVER 40 YEARS. AT THE TIME OF HIS PASSING, HE WORKED AS A SENIOR DESIGN SPECIALIST FOR MOLZEN-CORBIN ENGINEERING.
AT DAVID'S REQUEST, NO FORMAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD. WE WILL HONOR HIS LIFE WITH A PRIVATE FAMILY MEMORIAL CELEBRATION.

David and I met 19 years ago. I thank God that our paths crossed. We met at an Engineering Firm that him and I worked at and there... "our future began". We always said, it wasn't by 'chance' that we met, that it was meant to be. I thank God, he allowed us to be together for the past 19 years before he went home to Heaven, I'm eternally grateful for those years.
