David was born on April 8th, 1943 and passed away on
April 10th, 2025 at the age of 82David Sanders, age 82, of St Paul, passed peacefully on April 10, 2025.
David was born in Toledo Ohio, and attended the University of Toledo, then Wayne State University where he earned his PhD in inorganic chemistry. He and his family moved to St Paul in 1969 where Dave joined the 3M Company for the next 32 years. In St Paul, Dave and Fern found lifelong friends and a warm community they were proud to belong to. Dave's kind and generous soul was so appreciated by everyone who knew him. He presented his family with a beautiful model of how to live a happy and fulfilled life.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Ruth Sanders, his daughter and son-in-law Katie Sanders and Lawrence Gardner, and his brother Jerry Sanders. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Fern Sanders; his children, Marla Sanders and Joel Pinczewski and Jeffrey and Julie Sanders. Also mourning his loss are his grandchildren, Isaac Pinczewski, Ruth Pinczewski, Evie Gardner, Hannah Sanders, Eli Sanders, and Emma Sanders; his brother and sister-in-law, Louis and Marcia Sanders; and his brother-in-law, Burton Korman; along with many cousins, nieces and nephews, and so many friends who feel like family, all of whom will miss him deeply.
Services will be held on Friday April 11, at 11 am, TEMPLE OF AARON, 616 S Mississippi River Blvd, St Paul, MN, for anyone who would like to attend.
A private burial will follow the service. Due to Shabbat and the upcoming holiday of Passover, there will be no shiva. A livestream of the service is available (direct link below)
Contributions in David's memory can be made to Jewish Family Services or the donor's charity of choice. The family would like to express their gratitude to Lilydale Senior Living and Ecumen Hospice, as well as caregivers Patricia and Debbie, for their compassionate care of David.
