Dave fought Leukemia with the same intensity that he lived his life. While it wasn't an easy road, he in no way let his diagnosis slow him down. The Cavagnaro holidays and family will never be quite the same without our beloved, crazy Dave.
David is survived by his wife Helen (Velazquez), his granddaughter Ashley (Zielinski) Rudy (Chris), his Brother Robert Scarpa (Donna), his sisters Kathy Wargo (David) and Theresa Satterly (Dale) and his adopted sons/caregivers Mark Cavagnaro (Trisha) and Christian Gropper. David was predeceased by his beloved mother Jeanne Nightlinger
Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery will be private.

My heartfelt condolences to all of Dave´s family. I worked with Dave (back in the day) from 1969 - 1981. We were both on Lt Riccio´s shift at the Police Dept. Dave was an easy-going great guy. I´m sure he will be missed. May he rest in eternal peace. Joan Shaw

I remember being a kid and when everybody gathered at Aunt Barbara and Uncle Doug's big house that now Aunt Diane and Uncle George live in he would come there and pop out his two fake teeth like a vampire
