Mary, My sympathy to you on the loss of your husband. I lost my husband almost 12 years ago after we battled his leukemia (blood cancer) together. I know it is not easy for anybody, but God has been with me every step of the way and I know he will be there for you, too. Sincerely, Martha (Steimer) Brown (OLP '68)

Mary, I'm so sorry for your loss and am thinking of you and your family as you go through this difficult time. You got married not long after graduating high school as my husband and I did. I've heard you say before how Dave was the love of your life, and being married 48 years after getting married so young is a testament to that. May you find the strength to carry you through this unimaginable loss and on to the next chapter.

Please accept my deepest condolences, for the Schmidt family. I met Dave and Mary at the South Erie Turners, several years ago, and enjoyed many laughs and conversations. Later on, we shared many more fun at the Fairview Legion. I felt Dave and Mary were some of my best friends. Mary and Andy, I feel your sorrow for losing a great man and great husband and father. You are in my prayers,
