David Paul Schulte

David Paul Schulte, a cherished husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on August 29, 2025, in Lansing, MI, at the age of 64.

David was the beloved son of the late Paul and Barbara Schulte. He was born on November 13, 1960 in Lincoln Park, MI. He graduated from Southgate Aquinas High School in 1978. David's profession in Information Technology spanned across multiple decades, during which he dedicated many years of service to the State of Michigan and Sparrow Hospital.

On October 1, 2004, David married the love of his life, Judy, and together they welcomed their daughter Megan, who was the light of his life. Though he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Tiffani Schulte, and his parents, David's memory lives on with his family, including his loving wife Judy, daughter Megan, brothers Lawrence (Dawn) Schulte and Rick (Julie) Schulte, sister Sandy (Kevin) Mitchell, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

David was a devoted member of St. Gerard Catholic Church for over 20 years, where his faith was both a personal comfort and an avenue through which he served others. As a member of the Knights of Columbus, he exemplified their principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. His work with St. Vincent de Paul, delivering food to those in need, showcased his compassionate nature and deep desire to make a difference in his community.

His interests were varied and reflected his multifaceted personality. David was an aviation enthusiast, a passion that soared as high as the planes he admired. His love for electronics kept him at the forefront of the latest technological advancements, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand to friends and family needing tech support. An avid sports fan, David's enthusiasm for all of the Detroit sports teams was infectious.

Visitation will be held at Palmer, Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes Delta Chapel on Thursday, September 4 from 4:00pm-8:00pm with a Rosary being prayed at 7:30pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 5 at 10:30am with Rev. Fr. Jon Bokuniewicz as celebrant. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:40am. Interment will follow the Funeral Mass at Hillside Cemetery in Lansing, MI.
