David Curtis Seiz

David Curtis Seiz, 81, of Waverly, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at his residence. He was born on February 10, 1943, in Morgan County, the son of Emery Seiz, Florence Keen and Margie Seiz. He married Linda Gray on January 24, 1965, in Waverly, and she survives.
In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by daughters: Rachel (Matthew) Cloyd, of Waverly, Holly (Andrew) Moore, of Mt. Zion; grandchildren: Tyler Cloyd, Kendra Cloyd, Madilyn Moore, William Moore; great-grandchild: Lincoln Damm; brothers: Kent (Lou Ann) Seiz, of Waverly, Norman (Janice) Seiz, of Plainfield, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
David was a United States Army veteran, having served his country as a sergeant in Vietnam, earning 3 bronze stars. He then went to work for UPS, retiring after 28 years. He served as the Commander for the Waverly VFW for nearly 20 years and was a longtime active member of the Christ Lutheran Church. He enjoyed time outdoors, mowing, gardening, and spending time with his friends and family.
Private services will be held Monday, November 25, 2024, at Christ Lutheran Church in Waverly. Burial will immediately follow the service at the Waverly East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Christ Lutheran Church and may be sent to Neece-Airsman-Hires Funeral Home 349 E. Tanner St. Waverly, IL 62692.
