David Charles Shaw, 65, of Fort Madison, died at 5:29 PM Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born July 8, 1957, in California, he was the son of Robert and Judith Irwin Shaw. He was married to Gloria Shaw with whom he had one daughter. They later divorced. In 2007, he married Theresa Bougher in Las Vegas.
He worked in construction for several years, and also worked as a drill press operator for Bagcraft Paper Company in Ft. Madison, IA.
He was of Christian faith. He was a very hard worker and always punctual. Family meant a lot to him. Dave was an all-around good husband, who enjoyed antique shopping, collecting model cars and memorabilia, watching NASCAR and going fishing at Mirror Lake in Arkansas. He had many tools, and loved to tinker and work on whatever he could get his hands on.
Survivors include wife, Theresa Shaw; one daughter, Rachel Lara, four grandchildren, Isaiah, Alyssa, Gabby, and Sammy Lara; two step-daughters, Angelina Hernandez, and Christa (Josh) Dennison; two step-sons, Wayne Gann and Randolph Meacham; eight step-grandchildren, Donovan and Lexis Hernandez, Braelynn Rokey, Drake and Alana Taylor, and Claire, Sierra and Blade Gann; one step-great-granddaughter, Willow Hernandez; five brothers, Rick McDougall, Robbie Campbell, Mark Campbell, John Campbell, and Glen Shaw; two sisters, Desirea Robinson and April Corral; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his step-mother, Nancy Shaw.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
Per the families wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House.
