David Lee Sheffield passed away, leaving behind a legacy of adventure, love, and dedication. Born with a spirited zest for life, he was an avid outdoorsman who found solace in the tranquility of nature. David cherished his time at his beloved ranch in Centerville.

Throughout his career as a land developer and real estate broker, David demonstrated a remarkable ability to see potential and prosperity, shaping landscapes and lives with unwavering commitment. His professional acumen was balanced by a personal love for travel; he thoroughly enjoyed vacationing along the picturesque West Coast and in the vibrant locales of Mexico.

Family was at the heart of David's life. He shared a unique and loving bond with his little sister, Sherry Newport, and deeply treasured the moments spent hunting with his grandchildren, teaching them life lessons under the open sky. Known for his frugality, he held onto his values, yet when it came to the things he truly desired, money was never an obstacle.

David's memory will be cherished by those who knew him for his love of challenges, his laughter, and the profound impact he made on many lives. His adventurous spirit and generous heart will continue to inspire all who knew him.

David was born December 31, 1946, in Crockett, Texas and passed away August 19, 2025, in New Caney, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Arthur Sheffield and Ima (Horn) Sheffield; and brother, Winston Sheffield.
