David William Shipley passed away on October 19, 2025 at the age of 85. He was born April 17, 1940, in Ogden, Utah, to Wayne G Shipley and Moralta Bowman Shipley. He grew up in Ogden, Utah, with his brother and two sisters, and loved hanging out with them and his cousins in Hooper.

He eloped to marry his best friend Karen Shipley on January 23, 1965, in Elko, Nevada. They were together for 54 years until she passed.

He worked at Hill Air Force Base as an electronics technician, and later attended Weber State College where he received a certification in upholstery.

David and his family spent a week every summer camping in Wyoming with his brother (Kent), sister-in-law (Kay), and their kids. He enjoyed fly-fishing, singing songs around the campfire, eating goulash, and just being with his family.

He is and will be deeply missed.

David is survived by his daughters: Rina (Creig) Shipley-Walker, Brenda (Adrian) Sanders, and Alisa Pair, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, as well as his sisters Karen Herlth and Terri Shipley.
