Carl Fredrick Shipley Sr, died at the age of 90 on October 12, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Anderson, IN. He was born on July 9, 1935, to Frances and Fred Shipley. Born and raised in Anderson, he grew from a spirited boy to a loving, giving man.
Carl graduated from Anderson High School. He was employed by the Anderson Post Office for 31 years. He started as a clerk/carrier and retired as the manager of the Anderson Postal Credit Union.
Carl is survived by his children, Lori (Dan), Carl Jr. (Jennifer), Kimberly, and Steven. He will be forever cherished by his ten grandchildren, Nathaniel (Katie), Jonathan, Stephen (Elaine), Kayleigh (Josh), Nicholas, Madeline, Lori, Julie, Joey, Jessica, and Justin. Not to be forgotten are his great-grandchildren he loved so deeply: Carter, Levi, Rory, Lilyan, Bodhi, Honey, and Josiah. He is also survived by his brother, Mike, with whom he had a very special bond, brother Walter, and sister Lisa.
He was a faithful member of the South Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. He truly enjoyed doing the work of God. He enjoyed traveling to Gulf Shores, Alabama. He loved playing golf with family and friends.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm, October 25, at the South Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Anderson, IN. www.LooseCares.com.
