David Lee Shortnacy, Jr., age 56, passed away on August 25, 2024, at Harris Methodist Southwest in Ft. Worth, Texas. Born on August 7, 1968, in Haltom City, Texas, David was the beloved son of David Lee Shortnacy, Sr. and Sandra Elliot.
David was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a passion for football, especially for his favorite team, the Washington Redskins. An avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing and spending time in nature, where he could often be found working with his hands, a skill he took great pride in. Above all, David was proud of his sons and cherished the time he spent with them and his grandson, Hudson.
David is survived by his sons: Dustin Shortnacy and his wife Mariah, William Shortnacy and his fiancée Micaleigh, and Caleb Shortnacy. He also leaves behind his cherished grandson, Hudson Shortnacy. David will be remembered by his siblings, Kay Lane, Shari Blair, and Kevin Shortnacy.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Shortnacy, and his father, David Lee Shortnacy, Sr.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor David's memory and the love he shared with his family and friends.
