McConnells, SC - David Edward Sikes “Big David” peacefully went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, SC.
He was born September 27, 1979 and was a son of Richard Sikes and the late Tammy Sikes.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandmother and grandfather, Frank and Sarah Mosier; and Aunt, Lisa Knight.
David was big hearted by nature and was always giving and ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He loved boxing and training his fighters. He enjoyed his trips to the beach. He was born and raised in McConnells, SC.
He will be remembered as a man who was proud of his family and loved his grandchildren deeply. Most important to him was his family therefore he will be remembered forever as a loving husband, father, and pawpaw.
He leaves a legacy to be cherished by his survivors, his wife of 25 years, Tracy Sikes; sons, Devin Williams and his wife, Marlene Williams, Dylan Williams, and his wife, Sydnee Smith, and Lil David Sikes; a God son, Jonathan Jones, all of McConnells; five Grandchildren, Kaelyn Williams, Hayden Williams, Audrey Williams, Brooklyn Williams and Leeanne Sikes; three brothers, Jeffery Sikes and his wife, Casi, Richard Sikes and his wife, Abby, and Steven Sikes and his wife, Nicole Williams; sister, Jessica Watts and her husband, Jason; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at 12:30 pm Friday, November 14, 2025 at Whitsell Funeral Home, 975 Riverview Road, Rock Hill, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1:30 pm in the chapel with the Rev. Howard Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park, Hollis Lakes, 401 Hollis Lakes Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
