Dave Siler, 83 years of age, passed away surrounded by his loving wife, children and sister in the early morning hours of September 18, 2023, at his home. Dave and his family made North Ridgeville their home since 1979.
Dave graduated from Milford High School near Cincinnati, OH, where he went on to attend California State University-Fullerton which launched him to the U.S. Army. A morse code expert with the Army, Dave took his coding skills to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. For the next 35 years, Dave and Martha traveled the country living in seven different cities making friends from California to Washington, DC.
Dave truly loved his life with his wife of 59 years, his children and beloved grandchildren. He always urged them to fight for their dreams and be your best self.
Dave's family looks forward to receiving his friends on Sunday, September 24, 2023, visitation is from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. A celebration of life service will follow starting at 6 PM, with Rev. Sondra Snode, Pastor of Fields United Methodist Church officiating.
A private interment with full military honors will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on September 25, 2023.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Western Reserve for their dedicated care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, Dave would like all donations to go to the Wounded Warrior Project which can be found at the https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org
