David Lee Smith

David Lee Smith, age 72, of Quitman, Arkansas, passed away on March 18, 2022. Born on January 6, 1950, in Valparaiso, Indiana, he was the son of the late John William Smith and Ruth Alma Jackson Smith.
David was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served over 24 years and retiring as a 1st Sergeant. He continued helping families as an insurance agent for Primerica and then as an instructor for over 17 years teaching new agents. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Rose Marie Smith, his children Bill Lee Horton and his ex-wife Amanda, Christopher Lee Horton and his girlfriend Stephanie Walker, David Alan Horton and his girlfriend Tiffany Ramme, Clel Smith and his wife Jessica, and Davida Hurst and her husband Tom, his grandchildren Kyra Hurst, Gracie Hurst, Ethan Alexander Horton, Elizabeth Paislee Horton, Allisa Newberry, Jonathan Newberry, Laric Horton, Lexy Horton, and Lucas Horton, and his siblings Dean Smith and his wife Jennie, Richard Smith and his wife Karen, and Alice Smith. Mr. Smith is also survived by his other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 10:00am – 11:00am on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, with funeral services beginning at 11:00am with Bro. Thomas Bray and Chris Hackler officiating.
