David Eugene Soderberg, 82, of Milwaukie, Oregon, passed away peacefully at his home on October 12, 2025. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, and his quiet strength and kind spirit will be deeply missed.

Mr. Soderberg was born on December 17, 1942, in Corvallis, Oregon, to Sergeant Eugene and Eloise Soderberg. He attended Creston Elementary School and Franklin High School in Portland. As a young boy, he delivered newspapers and earned enough subscriptions to attend the opening day of Disneyland-an experience he fondly remembered throughout his life.

After graduating from high school, Mr. Soderberg proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Following his military service, he built a long and successful career as an electrician, a profession that reflected both his technical skill and his steady, thoughtful nature.

He had a wide range of interests and pursuits. An avid audiophile, he loved music and he also enjoyed piloting planes, bicycling, photography, and spending time in nature. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family.

Mr. Soderberg is survived by his wife, Ruth; his daughters, Marisha (George) Wadsworth and Angela Soderberg; his beloved grandchild, Spenser Wadsworth; and his nieces, Kristin Blaine and Karla Upton. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, and brother.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
