David Soileau passed away on June 22, 2025, at the age of 59. He was born on May 3, 1966, in Opelousas, Louisiana.
A Mass of Christian Burial for David Soileau will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Opelousas, Louisiana. Father Clint Trahan will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal and burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park.
Visitation for David will be held in the Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Opelousas from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. A rosary service will be recited at 11:15 a.m.
The pallbearers will be Landon Soileau, Bryce Nall, Don Soileau, Justin Fontenot, Matt D’avy and Dylan LeBlanc.
David dedicated over 30 years of his life as a truck driver, where he built a reputation for his hard work and reliability. He found joy not only in his career but also in the simple pleasures of life. He had a passion for working on cars, spending countless hours alongside his son, Landon. He was known for his willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need, showcasing a generosity of spirit that endeared him to many.
David also took pleasure in the excitement of horse racing, often enjoying the thrill of watching races at the casino.
David leaves behind a loving family who cherished him dearly. He is survived by his mother, Betty Soileau; his son, Landon Soileau; his sister, Charisse Soileau; his nephews, Bryce Nall, Dylan LeBlanc and wife, Ellen and their son, Elliot; and his Godchild, Jade Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Soileau.
As we remember David Soileau, we honor a person who embodied kindness, passion, and dedication. His legacy will continue to resonate through the lives he touched, and the memories shared by those who loved him.
