Peggy Lou Soileau passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the age of 84. She was born on February 20, 1941, in Wynnewood, Oklahoma.
A devoted football fan, Peggy found immense joy in cheering for her beloved LSU Tigers and the New Orleans Saints.
Peggy is survived by her son, Gary Holcomb (Elizabeth Roche) of Jennings, Louisiana; her daughters, Kimmy L. Krantz (Randy) of Krotz Springs, Louisiana; Christie L. Householder (Chris) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Brandie A. Lapoint of Krotz Springs, Louisiana; Johnnie A. Soileau (Shawn) of Kiln, Mississippi and her sister, Barbara G. Welch of Fort Worth, Texas. She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren, each a unique blessing in her life: Michael Ellis, Robert Ellis, Randilace Krantz, Kendal Ellis, John Guillot, Brock Ardoin, Brennan Soileau, Jordyn Holcomb, Blaiklyn Ardoin, Brodie Soileau, Dylan Holcomb, Nora Roche, and Lucy Roche and 9 great-grandchildren, who brought her boundless delight: Johnathan Edwards, Aubrie Tastet, Amelia Edwards, John Rylan Guillot, Scarlett Tastet, Kyson Ellis, Charissa Ellis, Skylar Ellis, and Ethan Ellis.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Christine Gibson; her husband, Ernest Soileau; her son, Michael Holcomb, and her brother, Keith Gibson.
Peggy will be remembered not only for her zest for life and devotion to family but also for the countless moments of laughter and joy she shared with those around her.
