Visitation will be on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Zachary, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. A graveside service will follow in Second Baptist Church Cemetery, Jackson.
David is survived by his wife of 49 years, Caroline Granier Soileau, children, Joseph "Biggie" Soileau (Windy), Stephanie Soileau Giroir (Cory), Ryan Soileau (Kendra), sister, Denise Perdue, grandchildren, David McMullen (Marissa), Lucas McMullen, Aaron Soileau, Alyssa Soileau, Kelsey Soileau and Carson Soileau and 4 great grandchildren. Grayson and Eli McMullen and A'vaiyah McMullen and David McMullen Jr.
He is preceded in death by his grandson, Jonathan McMullen and parents, Herbert and Cora Soileau.
Pallbearers will be Stephanie, Biggie, Ryan, Cory, Lucas and David.
David proudly served in the US Navy. He was a Master Carpenter and loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
