AE Funeral Services - ShawneeDavid Clayton Spoon, 65, a life-long resident of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on July 24, 2025. He was born in Shawnee on June 5, 1960, to Robert and Melba (Mickey) Spoon.
David was raised in Shawnee and attended Shawnee Public Schools. He was known as a hard worker who had a varied career and was a supervisor with OG&E for over ten years. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, and flying kites and planes while spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mickey; his sister, Amy Hall; and several aunts and uncles.
Survivors include his children: Latonia Johnson, Clayton Spoon, Christopher Spoon, Preston Spoon, Isabella Spoon, and Alyssia Spoon; sisters, Roberta (Robbie) Atabaigi and Toni Lemon; cousins: Becky Sitler, Geni Hunt, Rhonda Alexander, Tammy Martin, Sherri Seaton, and Twanna Biswell.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, 2:00 p.m., at AE Funeral Services Chapel, 603 W. Independence St., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74804.
