David G. Springer – age 77 of Peshtigo, WI passed away peacefully at home following a long battle with ESRD on August 3, 2024.
David was the beloved son of Henry and Lorraine Springer, and was born in Kenosha, WI in 1947. He married Darla (Lamb) May 10, 1969 in Kenosha just prior to deploying to Vietnam. David was the proud father of Jodie (Jim) Dellisse of Marinette, WI and Jamie (Nick) Golden of Chicago IL.
He would be the first to tell you he had 5 of the smartest, most loving and thoughtful grandchildren in the world. He was so very proud of Paige (Kevin) Korthius, Holly, James D. Dellisse, Chloe and Claire Golden.
He loved to fish, bird hunt and try his luck at the casinos. His hobby was beekeeping. He would spend hours on the subject, and enjoyed visiting local schools answering questions on the life of bees. And of course, selling honey at the farmer's market. He was a Vietnam war veteran, serving in the Marinette National Guard, was a member of Peshtigo American Legion until his illness worsened and served as treasurer of the M&O Beekeeper's.
David was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert, nephew Robby, niece Tammy, brother-in- law Eugene, and sister-in-law Rosemary.
He leaves behind his brother Bruce, and sisters, Barb (Ken) Monroe, Joyce Djuth, Carol Vines, and Linda Irwin. Brother in laws Robert and Michael Lamb. And sister-in-law Gloria. As well as many cousins, niece's and nephews. He will be sadly missed, yet fondly remembered by family and friends
Burial will take place in the Riverside Cemetery Peshtigo with Military Rites performed at the graveside.
