MANSFIELD: David Allen Strickler, 87, of Mansfield passed away Thursday evening, February 20, 2025 following an extended illness.
The son of David and Helen (Kurtz) Strickler, David was born September 29, 1937 in Caledonia, Ohio. Upon graduating from high school, David joined the Air National Guard. Dedicated to his country, he proudly served from 1955 to 1993. Upon his retirement he held the rank of Chief Master Sergeant.
David enjoyed woodworking. He was also a passionate Ohio sports fan, cheering for the Ohio State Buckeyes, and his Cleveland sports teams.
He is survived by his children Tim and Lynnea Strickler of Clermont, FL, Gregory and Rhonda Strickler of Shiloh, OH, and Renee and Rick Hoffman of Mansfield, OH; daughter-in-law Jeffrie Ann Strickler Kissel; grandchildren Nicky Strickler, Ryan Strickler, Jacob Strickler, Jonathan Strickler, Juliann Strickler, Katie Nemes Strickler, Michael Hoffman, Jennifer Ousley, and Jamie Hoffman; numerous great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Dallas and Selena Strickler, sister and brother-in-law Darlene and Jerry Russell, sisters-in-law Kay and Pat Strickler; nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Jacqulin Strickler; Michael Strickler; daughter-in-law Kelleen Strickler brothers Darrell and Dale Strickler and sister Janice Pryor.
Urn committal services will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 11 am in the mausoleum at Oak Grove Memorial Park. The Bellville Honor Guard will perform military honors.
The Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve the Strickler family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
