David A. Stutzman, age 77, formerly of Holmes County, Ohio went home to be with the Lord peacefully on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024 at Country Club Rehab of Dover.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, October 10th at Berlin Christian Fellowship with Pastor Brad Olsen officiating. Burial will take place at the Schrock Family Cemetery at Berlin Christian Fellowship. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at BCF. David was born November 21, 1946 in Millersburg, Ohio and was the son of Andrew D. and Esther (Hostetler) Stutzman. On August 26, 1967 he married Sara Mae Miller and she survives.
David was a builder and pastor for many years. He was owner and operator of Stutzman Construction which was a business he started in his early twenties. His heart then led him into ministry, pastoring at Berlin Christian Fellowship for over 30 years. He loved people, visiting with them and counseling them and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Sara Mae are two sons: Michael David (Karen) Stutzman of Dover and Jeffery Paul (Rebekah) Stutzman of Dalton; eight grandchildren: Mykaela, Jagger, Tyler, Calista, Caiden, Sophie, Amelia, and Lincoln; siblings: Ruth (David) Mast of Zanesville, Paul A. Stutzman of Millersburg, Philip (Elsie) Stutzman of Sugarcreek, and Naomi (Fred) Gingerich of North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Kenneth Ray; and a sister-in-law, Ella Stutzman.
