David was the first friend that my daughter Grace met at Vanderbilt. They were BFFs for their 4 years there. The twinkle in David's eyes are what I will remember and miss the most. He had an infectious laugh and was a truly loyal and caring person. Praying that he has found peace at this time. Forever in our hearts. Jen Brady Cieszko and Family

I'm a board member at the Pride Center in Johnson City and realized we were getting in memory donations for this name. We are honored to do good for our local community members in his memory and extend our deepest sympathies to loved ones and family. Our hearts are broken with you. May the love you had for him bring you comfort.

David was a kind, empathetic person and a force for good in the Vanderbilt community. His classmates cherished his presence. His loss is felt across the community. May he rest gently

We do not know each other, but I was moved by your comment in David's obituary to donate to an LGBTQ organization for suicide prevention. Thank you for not shying away from this difficult circumstance. This is the only way we can move forward, and help others. I truly regret this loss for those who loved David. I will be carrying him in my heart at the Tri-Pride parade this coming Saturday. Peace and grace to all.
