David W. Thompson

David W. Thompson, 83, of Gillsville, GA passed away Thursday, December 4, 2025 at his residence.

David was born June 12, 1942 to the late Rev. Paul and Grace Thompson. He worked in the poultry industry for 56 years and retired as a manager at Perdue Farms. He enjoyed finding treasures in abandoned storage units, golfing, and he was very devoted to his family. David was a member of Longstreet Baptist Church and was also preceded in death by a daughter and son in law, Crystal and Ricky Nabors; brother, Jimmy Lamar Thompson; and a sister, Pamela Kay Thompson.

Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Linda Burt Thompson, Gillsville; daughter and son in law, Amy and Steve Sinnamon, Gainesville; grandchildren, Alex and Tim Sanford, Kayla and Nick Adcock, Dalyn Guinn and Mahmoud Kabbani; great grandchildren, Walter Adcock, Reese Sanford, Layla Kabbani; sister, Jeannette Vaughters, Dawsonville; special caregiver, Andrea Chastain; and a number of other relatives.

Memorial services will be held Monday, December 8, 2025 at 2 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Terry Caylor and Rev. Gerral Richards will officiate. Special family prayer will be led by nephew Tommy Thompson.

The family will receive friends Monday from 12 noon until the service hour.
