David Arthur Trott, 66, of Huntingtown passed away March 12, 2024 at his home. He was born July 26, 1957 to Raymond and Thelma (Buckler) Trott. Dave grew up on his family's tobacco farm in Huntingtown and graduated from Northern High School. He married Colleen McKenna on August 15, 1993 and they continued to live on the family farm. Dave worked as a carpenter and master builder, owning and operating Dave Trott Home Improvement. Dave could build and fix anything, from kitchen cabinets to grandfather clocks, there wasn't a project that was too big for Dave. He would often build things for family and friends as a way to show them how much he cared about them. Dave was a mild mannered, patient person who loved everyone. He was a member of Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department and the North South Skirmish Association (NSSA). Dave was an excellent marksman and won many trophies and awards including Grand Aggregate, a recognition awarded to the person with the best scores throughout the season in the entire organization. Dave loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and never missed a game or practice. He also enjoyed being with his brother and sister. Dave also enjoyed history, especially Civil War and WWII history, antiques, cutting his grass, his dogs, especially Scout, and watching the Washington Redskins and Baltimore Orioles.
Dave is survived by his loving wife Colleen Trott, children Joe Trott and his wife Michelle of Florida, Heather Trott of England, and Samantha Schooley of Huntingtown, grandchildren Ivy, Will and his wife Michelle, Camryn, Tennyson, Layla, and Tristan, great-granddaughter Oaklyn Mae, brother Bob Trott and his wife Theresa and sister Brenda Allen and her husband Pete.
