David Ty

David Ty passed away unexpectedly on September 29, 2025, at the age of 41. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend.

David was the beloved husband of Courtney (Downs) Ty, who is currently expecting their first baby boy. He was the proud son of Leng Ty and his wife Sreynich Ty of Lowell. David was raised in Lowell and graduated from Dracut High School in 2003.

A hardworking man, David made his living in construction and was well known as a talented and dependable handyman. He took pride in his work and was always willing to lend a hand to others.

In his free time, David enjoyed playing pool and was a member of the Passe-Temps Club. He also loved cooking, fishing, and spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed his family's "Friday Nights" at his mothers Gail's with his family.

In addition to his wife, father, and stepmother, David is survived by his three daughters: Lylah, Lilyana, and Leilani; his brother, Steven and his wife Karina Ty of California; sisters: Jessica and her husband Bunthunvoath Chea , Angelina Ty, and Angela Ty, all of Lowell. Also , someone who he looked up to as a mother Gail Hailson and her dog that he called his fur sister Chula. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and friends who will miss him deeply.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Dolan Funeral Home, 106 Middlesex St., Chelmsford, MA. A funeral service will follow at 10:30 AM. After the service, the procession will continue to Merrimack Crematory, 8 Henry Clay Drive, Merrimack, NH.
